Garden Photography

On Wednesday, February 10, The Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown will be presenting a program by Rich Pomerantz, a full-time freelance photographer, who will give a program about photographing gardens at 7:30 pm at Newtown Senior Center, 14 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.

Mr Pomerantz began photographing professionally while still in high school. His images have appeared in all sorts of periodicals ranging from Garden Design, Horticulture, Fine Gardening and Coastal Living to National Geographic for Kids and Ranger Rick. His pictures have been featured on Sierra Club calendars, on the covers of Frommer Travel Guides, and a variety of garden and trade books. Clients include major corporations, garden designers, and landscape architects who use his work in a variety of ways.

Mr Pomerantz conducts garden and flower photography classes at the New York Botanical Gardens, and at smaller venues like craft centers and nurseries. He travels all over the world to photograph on assignment and on his own projects.

The program is free and nonmembers are invited. Come escape the winter landscape and enter the world of fabulous garden photography.
