Edmond Town Hall Theatre (ETH) is bringing back movies on a limited basis.

Wonder Woman 1984 will be shown February 12 through February 18, with free shows during school winter break from Friday, February 12 through Tuesday, February 16, thanks to the support of Ingersoll Auto of Danbury, longtime sponsor and supporter of Edmond Town Hall Theatre.

Released in December, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot in her latest performance as the title character. The action-adventure-fantasy is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 2 hours, 31 minutes.

It also features Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal. Visit our online calendar or see the Community Calendar on page A-2 of the February 12, 2021 issue of The Newtown Bee for showtimes.

Tickets for shows on Wednesday and Thursday will cost $3.50. All tickets — both free and paid — must be reserved online at edmondtownhall.org or through the theater's Facebook page. To enter the theater, patrons must have their their printed ticket with them or show their ticket on their phone.

To comply with health regulations, a maximum of 100 tickets per show will be available in the 528-seat theater, with every other row roped off and three seats left empty between each seating area. By having online tickets, ETH staff can ensure that capacity regulations are not exceeded, and patrons know in advance whether tickets are available for the show they wish to attend.

Moviegoers will be able to buy concessions using their phone or by walking up to the concession stand. Everyone must wear a mask in the building and in the theater.

ETH staff will continue disinfecting practices for the theater and the building’s public spaces before and after each show.

Indoor movies have been on hiatus since the start of the pandemic last March. For financial reasons, indoor movies will not be returning as in the past, but support from Ingersoll Auto of Danbury and others makes it possible to offer movies on a limited basis.

Next weekend, C.H. Booth Library is sponsoring four free screenings of the 1995 family dramedy Babe. Tickets will need to be reserved through the town hall website for those shows, which are planned for Saturday and Sunday, February 20-21, at 1 and 4 pm.

Edmond Town Hall Theatre will host the return of indoor movies — on a limited basis and with limited seating — with screenings of .
