Tracy Paella scored 20 points and Joanne Duncanson added 19, the pair combining to drag down 14 rebounds, as Walsh Logging defeated Newtown Mobil, 57-47, in recent action in The Gym at Newtown Women’s Basketball League.

Lisa Schang chipped in 14 points and pulled down 12 boards for Walsh while Doris Ratner added four points. For Newtown Mobil, Amy Proulx canned 29 points (including a trio of three pointers) and grabbed 14 rebounds. Kelly Pinkney added 12 points and five rebounds as Laurie Bain chipped in six points and 12 rebounds.

Jody Rajcula scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Dr Gellert slipped past The Gym at Newtown, 52-49. Holly Ferguson added 14 points while Kim Lowell chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds. Colleen Gregory and Steph Trolle combined for 10 points. For The Gym, Jen Thomas and Mel Darrah popped in 14 points apiece with Thomas pulling down 12 rebounds. Carolyn Schrieber chipped in 10 points while Janet Duffey added 11 points, including a three pointer.

Alex Heron dropped in 20 points as Colorgraphics registered a 73-69 double-overtime win over Alpine Realty. Maura Keenan added 18 points and 10 rebounds while Rachel McGrath chipped in 15 points. Colleen Ruiz dropped in 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Peg Bowers and Denise Passano combined for 7 points. For Alpine, Kelly Fengler scored a team-high 29 points and pulled down nine rebounds while Tori Anderton dropped in 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Laurie Miller canned 11 points and Sherri Baggett added four.
