Cans For The Cure

To the Editor:

This year, once again, we ask for your help in collecting cans for the cure for Relay For Life in Newtown, June 4. Last year, Richard and I collected just over $200 for the relay, and believe me, every cent is used wisely, and will help many folks.

I became one of those people last year, when they said, “You have cancer.” I am so grateful to everyone before me that gave and raised money to help fund machines, research, and anything that went into finding a cure for cancer. Because of that, I am still here to celebrate more birthdays and being with God, my family, and friends, and I am forever grateful.

The barrel will be out in front of 86 The Boulevard for your donations. All recycle bottles and cans are appreciated. To find out more about relay, go to www.relayforlife.org/newtownct.
