Three women of Newtown, all in their 90s, will be honored as "Queens For A Day," when Newtown Senior Center celebrates its Third Annual Senior Recognition Day, on Thursday, April 13, with a noon luncheon at the center.

Guest speaker for the event will be State Senator Tony Hwang, who will speak about the elders of his own family, and how what he learned from them now influences his daily life.

The honorees will also be asked who among their elders were most influential in their life, and what they believe the young people of today may be missing in their relationships with their family elders.

The public is invited to attend the luncheon as guests of the center. Due to space limitations, people are asked to call 203-270-4310 to make a reservation.
