Leading Youth Artists To Perform In

‘The Little House That Roared’

On Saturday, April 10, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, some of Fairfield County’s most talented young musical artists — mostly of high school age — will perform in a concert they’re calling “The Little House That Roared.”

The event is being sponsored and hosted by Congregation Adath Israel, 115 Huntingtown Road in Newtown. Participating artist Sam Weiser of Westport, who recently signed with Disappear Records, plays Gypsy/Jazz violin and has a sound that many compare to Stephan Grapelli. Award winning Newtown guitarist Yossi Kohrman-Glaser likewise conjures up memories of Andre Segovia.

Other artists are from Stamford and include Geoffrey Cahr’s rock band; bluegrass and Broadway show tunes will also be performed.

Rabbi Shaul Praver, the congregation’s spiritual leader, said, “All the performers showcased in this event are among the most talented and accomplished artists I’ve encountered  in the county.”

BMI talent scouts are expected to be among the crowd.

Tickets are $18, or $10 for children/students. For further information about the participating artists contact Rabbi Praver at 203-209-4662 or RabbiRock@optonline.net. For directions to Congregation Adath Israel and other information, visit CongAdathIsrael.org.
