Newtown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team went on the road and defeated Bunnell of Stratford 16-4 on April 20.

Gia Corso had three goals, and Izzy Butler, Julia Gerace, Ellie Meyer, and Ava Mitchell all had two goals. Butler added two assists.

Elena Sughrue, Shea Murphy, Erin Phaneuf, Summer Harrell, and Jules Battaglia each hit the back of the net once.

Gerace and Harrell each scooped six ground balls to lead the Nighthawks.
