JUNIOR DIVISION

 

BUS #22 19, CHUBBY’S DELI 10: Gina Bloshuk smashed a pair of home runs and helped herself on the mound by striking out six batters. Hilary Msokowitz had a key hit and played solid defense. Melissa Paynter, Michelle Rastelli and Karli Beitel all had solid defensive plays. Courtney Sullivan kept the offense going. For Chubby’s, Amy Kelley and Annie Grills hit home runs while Christan Del Rosi turned in an unassisted double play in the field, Sarah Peters, Megan Petruni and Jessica Perez played well.

BUS #22 11, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 7: Ashley Gabor and Gina Bloshuk were solid on the mound, leading Bus #22 to the win. Ashley Christiano made a nice catch in the field as Katie Midlik, Sara Regensburger and Catrina Morgan played well.

LEXINGTON GARDENS 16, NASE 8: Tough defense for Lexington included a double play by Tori Marlin and Ally Kirk, a pop-up caught by Bailie Saltzman and super pitching by Nicole McGrath. Nicole Cunningham, Jenn Greenwood and Mary Gover all collected hits. For NASE, Stephanie Manning struck out three batters while Sarah Greenfield and Alison Graham each had two hits and an RBI. Katie VanVeen anchored the defense.

RICCI’S SALON 8, BUS #16 5: Marlie Thompson, Meg Barber and Paige Woodhouse collected two hits apiece to lead Ricci’s. For Bus #16, Margaret Cozens had two hits, Lucy Remitz had one, and Ashley Bolmer made a pair of stellar plays in the field.

LEXINGTON GARDENS 21, NEWTOWN INSURANCE 10: Tory Marlin, Jenn Greenwood and Ally Kirk all homered to lead Lexington Gardens to the win. Lisa Alberico and Jessica DiVanno had big hits. Bria Innaurato and Bailie Saltzman had fine defensive games. For Newtown Insurance, Alison Lex, Remy Ball, Maricate Conlon and Lindsey Greene played well.

RIVER CONE 19, NEWTOWN HARDWARE 15: Jillian Blomberg banged out three hits and also pitched well to lead River Cone to the win. Carolyn Brennan and Theresa Villafano played well, too. For Newtown Hardware, Jessica Duch belted a grand slam and Caitlin Williams hit a home run. Kristen Wipperman, Heather Snow and Becky Lukeris all hit well. Coco Peyres was solid behind the plate.

EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPING 16, NEWTOWN POOLS 14: Kristen DeFlippe knocked in three runs with a triple and Katelyn Bolmer went 4-for-4 to lead Executive to the close win. Michele Imperioli and Sara Fogliano played outstanding defense. Sarah Holroyd and Lindsey Chimileski pitched well. For Newtown Pools, Chantal Thompson and Megan Kelly pitched well, Liz Arnold and Caitlin Dalton were solid in the field, and Megan Kelly had a three-run hit in the sixth inning.

COUNTRY AIR 10, NEWTOWN POOLS 4: Amanda Klabonski led off the game with a homer and reached base three times to power Country Air. Jamie Minalgo hit a homer and struck out six batters in two innings. Katie Murphy was solid on defense while also driving in two runs. For Pools, Jessica Gaddis and Dana Wark both played excellent defense.

POOTATUCK SPIRITS 14, NEWTOWN INSURANCE 13: Amanda Chontos and Kimberly Solheim pitched well while Danielle Nicolosi and Megan Groves played superb defense to lead Pootatuck. For Newtown Insurance, Becky Huot had a pair of hits, Remy Ball pitched well, and Katie DeSimone banged out three hits.

DR CURTIS BECK 20, POOTATUCK SPIRITS 14: Kyla Myles, Kate LeVasseur, Sally Tabler and Gabby Allen all had good games, leading Dr Curtis Beck to the win despite the mixture of snow, rain and sleet that fell. For Pootatuck, Kelsey Cantore, Alexa Faeth, Danielle Nicolosi and Kerri Canavan played well.

THE QUIET COMPANY 12, EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPING 10: Amanda Lindblom, Adeline Fulmer and Kristen Johnson (3-for-4 with three singles) led The Quiet Company to the win. Ally Lyros and Kellie Datin led Executive with three hits apiece as Valerie Nezvesky chipped in with two. Celeste Villafano had a key double.

MIDGET DIVISION

 

MY PLACE 6, DANZIGER HOMES 5: Samantha Ross, Kim Nezvesky and Katie Powers all played well in the field as Mary Bloshuk drove in the winning run with a key hit. For Danziger, Adelle Cerreta made three putouts, Nicole Reyen forced an out at the plate, and Nicole Elias powered the offense.

CAVALIERE & SONS 9, DANZIGER HOMES 9: Kelly Burton went 3-for-3, Megan Dolyak went 2-for-3, and Carly Doherty and Jennifer Brewer both hit well to lead Cavaliere. For Danziger, Lisa Vendel made a great play at short to keep the game close. Eva Cerreta had a hard hit.

DRUG CENTER 18, NEWTOWN JUNIOR WOMEN 14: Marleigh Sullivan, Rachel Rowan and Ashley Soucar banged out three hits apiece in Drug Center’s slugfest win. Victoria Summerlin was solid on D. For the Junior Women, Kaly Caulfield had three hits while Alyssa Krueger and Kelsey DeCesare also hit the ball hard. Victory LaValla was excellent in the field.

DRUG CENTER 11, TAUNTON PRESS 2: Libby Feltch, Emily Loose and Brooke Untiedt led the Drug Center offense in the win. Allison Modzelewski and Caitlin Cosgrove played well in the field. For Taunton, Molly Marcucilli, Kendra O’Connor, Sarah Cioffietti and Nicole Frey all played well.

CLEARHART CONSTRUCTION 14, CENTURY-21 7: Laura Frattaroli and Nora Lynn Shimko had three hits apiece to lead Clearhart. Jenna Lex and Anne Berlioux were defensive standouts. For Century 21, Amanda Trock and Katie Serock olayed well in the field as Taylor Truchess and Gina Fennaroli supplied the offense.
