Occupation: I own an adult day center in town called Old Glory Days, and I’m in the process of opening a second location in Watertown that will be a small assisted living and day center.

Family: I live in Oxford with my boyfriend, Justin, my daughter, Macie (11), and our son Cooper (6). Both of my parents, my grandpa, and aunts and uncles live in Newtown.

Pets: We have a 6-month-old Bernedoodle named Dude and a bunny named Snowy.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I grew up in Newtown and lived here until I was 25.

What do you like to do in your free time? I don’t have much free time lately between work and my kids’ activities. When I can, I like to relax at home with my family and try different local restaurants.

What book are you currently reading? I recently started reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle.

What is your favorite travel destination? Growing up, my family’s vacation spot was Moosehead Lake in Maine. I love going back there and reminiscing with relatives.

What is the best part about Newtown? I love the small town feel with the historic homes, the community events like Trick or Treating on Main Street and the Labor Day Parade, and seeing the middle school students walking around the center in the afternoons.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I’m on the board of the Children’s Adventure Center and I help out with Friends of Newtown Seniors.

Who or what has been the greatest influence in your life? I’ve faced a lot of struggles in my personal and professional life. My mom has always been there supporting me and encouraging me to go forward. She has set an example for me as an entrepreneur and a strong woman.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? Right now, I’m really looking forward to spending the day with my newest niece, Corinne. She lives in Colorado and I haven’t been able to visit yet.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? My mom always says, “Don’t listen to the naysayers. If you believe in it, go for it.”

What is your proudest accomplishment? I am proud of the business I’ve built. Through all of the challenges I haven’t given up and because of that I have been able to help a lot of families.

What is your favorite movie? Two of my favorite movies are Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing.

What is your favorite TV show? New Girl is a really funny show that made me laugh out loud.

What is your favorite food? I like a lot of different foods. My favorite pasta dish is penne alla vodka. My favorite sandwich is the Flagpole from the General Store or Misty Vale.

If you could travel to the past or future, which would you choose and why? I’d like to go to the past to see the fashion styles in person and hear the music live. I’d be interested in seeing the towns before they were developed and seeing how people lived in a simpler way.
