Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation hosted its Sanctuary Yoga Adventures at its animal sanctuary, 3 Old Farm Road, on Saturday, May 14.

The first session of the day was for Goat Yoga, which was led by Heather Morgado, partner/owner of YogaSpace LLC in Bethel. All experience levels participated in her 60-minute class.

During the event, six goats from Bradley Mountain Farm in Southington roamed the enclosure that Goat Yoga took place in. They enjoyed chewing on grass, visiting with attendees, and getting treats from their caretakers.

Morgado gave instructions for a variety of poses as well as breathing techniques. At one point she encouraged everyone to take in “a breath of joy.”

Smiles could be seen on attendees faces throughout the yoga class as the goats meandered near them and playfully scampered around.

Later in the day, Morgado also led a Traditional Yoga class at the sanctuary pavilion.
