The Newtown Chamber of Commerce continues to host free monthly networking events open to all local business professionals.

The next event will be held at Sal e Pepe Contemporary Italian Bistro, 97 South Main Street, on Wednesday, July 9, from 8 to 9 am.  The guest speaker is Scott Anders of Eagle Strategies LLC.

Mr Anders’s presentation will be “The Four Disciplines of Execution,” and it will include a workshop that actively improves the ability of guests to discipline their actions.

He has more than 25 years of experience as a financial adviser, and his presentation is designed to help ensure the most important goals professionals set for themselves in the workplace are executed with a level of discipline to achieve success.

Light refreshments will be served.

Breakfast networking sessions are sponsored by Newtown Chamber of Commerce and are held the second Wednesday of each month. Those interested in guest speaking can contact Tricia Farin at 203-426-9193.

There is no charge to attend this event and reservations are not necessary.

In other Chamber news, Design Limited LLC will hold an open house at the home of its owners, Don and Jane Sharpe, on Thursday, July 10, from 5 to 7 pm, at 62 Underhill Road in Sandy Hook.

For more than 15 years, the Sharpes have been designing and selling custom log and post and beam homes throughout Connecticut and southern New York State. Guests are invited to enjoy “Cocktails at the Cabin” while touring their three-story house and gardens on the shore of Lake Zoar.

Appetizers will also be served. The event is free to attend and open to anyone; RSVP to Alice Baye at 203-426-2695.
