To the Editor:

I would like to thank our town for coming out to celebrate and honor Mae Schmidle and Julia Wasserman this past Sunday. Hearing all the wonderful stories everyone shared showed me how very much appreciated and loved these two women are!

I would like to thank everyone who helped (please forgive me if I've forgotten anyone).  First Selectman Pat Llodra, JoAnn Albanesi, Donna Culbert, Margot Hall, Marie Smith, Mary Tietjen, Maureen McLachlan, Margaret Imbro, The Newtown VNA, Carey Schierloh, John Voket, Josh Milas, State Senator Tony Hwang, Gary Jeanfaivre, A Sign Depot and Rankin Sports, Sheila and Azra, the Republican Town Committee and the men at the Edmond Town Hall who helped with the banner and the outstanding desserts from LeReine's Cuisine – LeReine Frampton. 

Best of all was seeing the smile on Mae's face!  Please keep a good thought for Julia as she continues to get stronger everyday.
