East Hill Woods Celebrates

 Ninth Anniversary

SOUTHBURY — East Hill Woods commemorated the official opening of its doors nine years ago by holding an anniversary party on Wednesday, June 28, at the facility.

Joseph Vannucci, executive director, presented gifts to 16 residents and nine staff members who have been at East Hill Woods for five years.

Cheryl Reedy, district director for Congressman James Malone, read a letter of congratulations from the Congressman for nine years of service and dedication to the senior citizens of Connecticut and presented East Hill Woods with a certificate of special congressional recognition for meritorious achievement.

Since 1991, East Hill Woods has operated a retirement community serving persons 65 years and older. The community of approximately 190 residents is located in a landscaped, park-like setting on 65 acres. Each resident is provided with a private independent living apartment, a wide array of personal services, and the security of the availability of on-site living and skilled nursing services.
