Joseph W. Belanger

Joseph W. Belanger, 80, of 10 Reynolds Ridge, Bethel, husband of Aldea (Chaloux) Belanger, died at Danbury Hospital on July 31.

He was born in Berlin, N.H., son of the late Peter and Maria (Pelchat) Belanger. He attended Berlin schools and served in the US Army during World War II, from 1942 to 1945. Mr Belanger resided in Bridgeport and then in Newtown, until his retirement. He ran his own construction company for over 25 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Belanger of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Patricia Harvey of Rochester, Vt.; four grandchildren, Dillon and Jessica Dudley and Eric Belanger, all of Rochester, Vt., and Angela Belanger of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Lena Faustini of Venice, Fla.; two brothers, Peter Belanger of Venice, Fla., and Arthur Belanger of Monroe; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.

Cremation Services of Western Connecticut, 55 Main Street, Danbury, is in charge of the arrangements.
