In last week’s issue of Health Monitor, an article titled “Aging and Dry-Eye Syndrome” should have stated that Vioxx and Celebrex, often used by arthritis sufferers, are prescription drugs. Tylenol and Motrin are over-the-counter drugs that could also be used to alleviate arthritis pain. The important point was that the use of any of these drugs might contribute to dry-eye syndrome, and that glucosamine chondroitins might, therefore, be a better choice.

Eileen Hanson, president of the Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) has written The Bee to correct an error in a story for the Real Estate Section, July 25 issue, about the Lands End schoolhouse. The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown was incorrectly identified as the current owner of the old schoolhouse building. SCAN did own the property for a number of years; however, in the mid-1990s, the title to the property was transferred to a previous owner, Alex Clark.
