Newtown Forest Association has announced its 2nd Annual Sunset Wine Tasting will take place Saturday, September 12. The event will continue NFA's celebration of 91 years of privately preserving open space and Newtown's rural character.

The celebration will take place at Holcombe Hill Preserve, 65 Great Hill Road. It will take place, rain or shine, from 4 to 8 pm.

Under tents, members will host a wine tasting with small fare, music, silent auction and, weather permitting, “a spectacular sunset,” organizers promise.

Tickets are $45 each, and available through NewtownForestAssociation.org. The event is limited to 300 tickets, which will be sold only in advance. Tickets are non-refundable, and will not be sold at the door.

Volunteers are sought for the evening, as well as items for a silent auction. A Wine Tasting Volunteer Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, August 6, beginning at 7 pm. It will be held at the NFA offices at Holcombe Hill Preserve.
