To the Editor:

I seldom find myself writing a letter to the editor. I am usually at my breakfast table on Saturday morning reading The Newtown Bee to learn what my fellow townsfolk have to say. However, I am so enthusiastic in my support of our State Representative Christopher Lyddy, that I felt I must share my feelings.

I do not have children, but feel strongly that the education of our young people benefits us all. Rep Lyddy is a strong advocate of education. We are so lucky to have him representing us in the 106th District. Chris was given the “Tip of the Cap” Award this year by the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now. In his service on the Education Committee, Chris has brought his energy to achieving goals which will strengthen our education system in Connecticut and help our students gain success in their future lives.

This was an easy letter to write. I urge my fellow Newtowners to keep Christopher Lyddy in Hartford. He will continue to work hard for us and our children and he will make us proud.
