Robert Sniadecki

Robert “Bob” Edward Sniadecki, 74, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, at the HPH Hospice Care Center.

He was born August 5, 1945, in Bridgeport and grew up in Sandy Hook. Bob was a resident of Naugatuck before he moved to Brooksville 18 years ago. He served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a truck driver, member of the American Legion, and Protestant by faith. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Sniadecki; his sons, Gerald Sniadecki and Steven Olsen, both of Connecticut; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and David Lantieri, of Connecticut; daughter, Dawn Meade, and son-in-law, Rich Tufano, of Connecticut; and daughter, Amy Kwast (Olsen), and son-in-law, Corey, of Texas.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Edward Joseph and Emily Elizabeth Sniadecki; his wife, Elaine Martino Sniadecki, in 2006; and by a daughter, Dana Olsen-Martino, in 2013.

He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Kathleen Sniadecki of North Carolina, George and Becky Sniadecki of Connecticut, and Johnny Sniadecki of Maine; and a sister, Catherine Sniadecki, of North Carolina. Bob also leaves behind grandchildren who loved and admired their Poppy: Mandy, Drew, Wesley, Devon, Shauna, Anthony, Cheyenne, and Ryan.
