After 30 years of operating as Nick’s Restaurant on Starr Street in Danbury, owners Frank and Victor DeGirolamo decided it was time to transform their business and focus on their specialty: buffet catering.

Now known as Nick’s Catering, the DeGirolamo brothers still serve up the same quality, great-tasting food their business is known for, but now from Tier 1 at 31 Pecks Lane.

The two were pleased to have the opportunity to open in Newtown, as both are longtime residents and enjoy getting to feed their neighbors and clientele all throughout Fairfield County.

Their current address is both the main location for making and preparing all the catered meals, as well as where people pick up their orders. Takeout lunches are available in single servings between 7 am and 2 pm.

Nick’s Catering offers traditional Italian cuisine that is prepared fresh every day and appeals to all palates.

The full catering menu includes everything from delicious hot food classics like eggplant Parmigiana and a huge range of pasta dishes to American-style sandwich platters. Depending on the tastes and preferences of the clientele, Nick’s Catering will tailor its menu and service options to meet individual needs.

Pickup and delivery catering can be done regardless of the size of the event, as Nick’s Catering has no maximum and has catered parties as large as 750 people. There is free delivery for orders of $300 or more.

Nick’s Catering can also do full-service onsite catering for special events like high school and college graduations, weddings, bridal or baby showers, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, company parties, and picnics.

Even though Nick’s no longer has its official dining area in which people can gather, Nick’s Catering still offers the great taste that customers remember fondly. No matter what time of year, Nick’s Catering continues to bring family and friends together to enjoy each other’s company while dining on the food they know and love.

A Sample of the Menu

Nick’s Specialties: Nick’s Catering is known for its many signature dishes that they have kept by popular demand, including the eggplant Parmigiana made with rolled eggplant stuffed with mozzarella cheese, prepared in a marinara sauce.

Vegetables: Among the different vegetable options, there are fresh string beans, broccoli Parmigiana, and grilled vegetables.

Salads: There are seven choices of salads listed on the catering menu, including the traditional Italian antipasto, potato salad, and Caesar salad.
