Rehab And Health Care Center Seeking Items For Residents

Newtown Rehab and Health Care Center (NRHCC) Therapeutic Recreation Department is always looking for new or gently used items for residents to use and enjoy.

The following is a list of recently requested items from Lynn D’Angelo, director of NRHCC Therapeutic Recreation Department:

*iPod Nanos and Shuffles and iPads or tablets;

*Gently used or new portable CD players;

*Bingo prizes (women’s jewelry/costume jewelry, but no earrings, please), perfume, fancy clutches, change purses/bags, men’s cologne, team sweatshirts, hats, sunglasses, and countertop figurines;

*New or gently used art supplies, including paint brushes, canvases, aprons/smocks, stamps and ink pads, large clothes pins, acrylic paints;

*Sensory items, including fiber optics items, diffusers, life-size real fur pets, and fidget quilts;

*Reading materials, including magazines with photos, newer/current large print books, travel books, and anything with vivid photos; and

*2020 wall calendars, word search books, and simple adult coloring pages.

Anyone who would like to donate any of these items is invited to contact Ms D’Angelo at 203-364-3141. Items may also be dropped off at the front desk of NRHCC, located at 139 Toddy Hill Road.
