Enjoying dinner, music, and children’s games were families and supporters of Newtown’s Botsford Fire Rescue Company Botsford Bash on Saturday, August 25.

Seated beneath an awning lit with soft white lights at the Botsford firehouse at 315 South Main Street were guests with full plates of grilled summer fare.

Live music with Frandango continued throughout the evening while fire company members sold raffle tickets and kept the grill hot for hungry guests. Fire company vehicles were on display, and a children’s bouncy house kept younger guests entertained.

Inside the engine bays were more tables offering dinner seating, and a table to purchase raffle tickets. Eager to help sell tickets were ladies Tammy Gruber, Caley White, Mary Geitz, Kim Nezvesky, Jessie Nezvesky, and Alexandra Benvenuti.

Ready to step into the bouncy house was Emmett Bolmer. Also joining the bash was 10-year-old Emma Guilfoil with her aunt, Debbie Aurelia Halstead.
