Occupation: I am a trusts and estates attorney at Cohen and Wolf, P.C.’s Danbury office. I primarily prepare estate planning documents and administer and advise clients on trusts and estates in the Connecticut probate courts. My wife is a nurse practitioner at Advanced DermCare in Danbury. We both love working locally and being able to provide services to the Newtown community.

Family: My wife’s name is Jillian (maiden name Tanner) and we have two sons, Connor (almost 4) and Jack (1.5) who keep us on our toes!

How long have you lived in Newtown? My wife and I spent our years during grad school in Boston, but when we decided to get married in 2016 (at the Newtown Meeting House) and start a family, we made the decision to move back to Newtown. My wife grew up in town and really wanted to raise our family here in the town she loves that gave her so much. It is also great to be close to our family! It was the best decision we ever made and we really couldn’t be happier.

What do you like to do in your free time? Our boys keep us busy these days, but I enjoy spending time with my family around the house and working on the yard. I also enjoy a some pickup basketball at NYA, and when we can get away I enjoy spending time at the beach in Charlestown, Rhode Island.

What is your favorite book? As an attorney I do enough reading during the day, but if I feel up to it, I enjoy any suspense novel or any light read.

What is your favorite travel destination? One of these days I would love to get back to Italy and Switzerland, where we spent our honeymoon. My in-laws also have a house in Charlestown, Rhode Island, and we love to spend whatever free weekends we have there with the kids. We are so lucky!

What is the best part about Newtown? So many things. It is a beautiful town with an amazing school system, but if I had to choose, I would say the community and people. That is something you cannot find everywhere. It is such a family-focused community and the people are so kind and friendly.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I am a member of the Fairfield Hills Authority and have been since 2018. The campus is beautiful and has a lot of potential. We love walking the trails with the kids.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My wife, my parents, and my in-laws. I am so grateful for their support and guidance and the examples they set for our kids.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? Tom Brady. As a fan and an admirer of his prolonged success, I would love to get a glimpse into his mind and how he maintains a such a high level of competitiveness year after year.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I grew up listening to grunge music, and Pearl Jam is still one of my favorite bands. In the summertime I also enjoy a lot of Zac Brown Band.

What is something you cannot live without? Coffee, hands down.
