On Sunday, August 28, Christ the King Lutheran Church celebrated the tenth anniversary of the ordination of Pastor Robert Morris.

The 9:30 service was a joyous celebration with the Sermon provided by Revered William Meyer of Bethel. The service was followed by a lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Approximately 110 people attended the event.

The Morris family was presented with gifts from Congregation to mark the anniversary.

Pastor Morris has been serving at Christ the King Lutheran Church since 2012. He was ordained into the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod after a colloquy process that involved one semester of classwork at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind., and a supervised vicarage at Christ the King.

His previous training included both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Biblical Languages from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass., where he also served as a Teacher’s Assistant leading classwork for both the Greek and Hebrew departments.

Before his call to Christ the King, Pastor Morris served as a full-time staff member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Topsfield, Mass., focusing on both the youth and worship ministries.
