NHS Marching Band & Color Guard Perform, Prepping For Annual Tag Sale

The Newtown High School Marching Band & Guard competed in its first judged competition of the school year on September 11 at Bethel High School and earned a second-place finish.

The Marching Band & Guard also performed at a home football game at Blue & Gold Stadium on September 10.

The marching Nighthawks head to Danbury High School to compete on September 18, then the group will perform its show at the Newtown Arts Festival on Sunday, September 19, at 11 am.

The NHS Marching Band & Guard is also preparing for its annual tag sale fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 9 am to 2 pm, at NHS, 12 Berkshire Road. Proceeds will support the group’s weekly competitions and help students develop performance and leadership skills.
