The Garden Club of Newtown will present “How to Get Great Shots of Gardens and Nature with Your Cell Phone” by Steve Silk on Tuesday, September 27, at 1 pm.

The program will be in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

Steve Silk is a travel writer with long experience in travel photography in the plant communities that help define the world’s varied ecosystems.

His program will feature using one’s smartphone as a sophisticated camera. The talk will cover the basics of iPhonography for gardens and nature, from exposure and focus to composition.

Silk will also share tips to get the most out of one’s cell phone camera, planning and processing apps, and how to get the most impactful images from one’s social media posts.
