All are invited to join Hearts of Hope (HOH) Newtown for its next painting party.

The next “Paint with a Purpose” event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 20, 6-8 pm, at Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street.

All ages and artistic experience are welcome. Guests will be painting and decorating palm-sized ceramic hearts with positive images, and creating brief messages, that will then be delivered to the volunteers at FAITH Food Pantry.

HOH-Newtown provides all supplies. Cost is $7 per heart.

Donations of nonperishable foods, to also be forwarded to the food pantry, are also encouraged for October 20.

The local HOH chapter is a group of volunteers committed to creating and delivering hope to those in need everywhere. Events are amazing, meaningful, and fun.

Each month celebrates a different cause; suggestions are welcome.

HOH-Newtown now meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the community center. The chapter was formed in the wake of 12/14, and has offered caring, compassion, and hope through his painted hearts shared to hundreds of worthy causes locally, nationally and, even internationally.

Additional information is available at ourheartsofhope.org (click on About Us, and then Chapters). Registration for the Newtown events is available through the group’s Facebook page, search for Hearts of Hope of Newtown, CT.
