The Garden Club of Newtown celebrated their 66th anniversary with a luncheon at the lovely Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, September 21.

Many local garden clubs and FGCCT members, First Selectman Dan Rosenthal, and authors Sydney Eddison and Andrea Zimmerman added to the celebration with a total attendance of 91 guests.

The highlight of the afternoon was our speaker, author, lecturer, and garden designer Ellen Ecker Ogden, speaking on her current book, The New Heirloom Garden.

Raffle and auction items were on display.

Guests mingled to bid and place each raffle ticket in hopes they would take home the large array of donated gifts from the following local businesses:
