KENT â The First Congregational Church of Kent will hold its annual Harvest Fair Silent Auction on Saturday, October 14. Bidding opens at 10 am and will close at 3 pm. Many unique and high quality items will be available for silent bid throughout the day.
Among the items up for bid this year will be one week next summer in Hiram, Maine, at the vacation home of Mary Ellen Nelson, a 30-minute airplane sightseeing tour of northwest Connecticut by Lou LaRocca, a chef-prepared gourmet dinner for four in the winnerâs home by Donna Keane, a 30-minute massage by Wendi Jack, a $50 gift certificate to The House of Books in Kent, adult and child dental visits at the offices of Dr and Dr Hetson, an Earhuitt pump organ (circa 1850-1870), brunch for two at the Fife ân Drum Restaurant in Kent, an original painting by Heather Scofield, a signed Eric Sloane print, and a handmade toy box by Jim and Betsy Maxwell.
