The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) is set to present its Ninth Annual Halloween Walk on Saturday, October 26, from 11 am to 2 pm, in Sandy Hook Village. The fun, kid-friendly event will be held rain or shine.

The event offers participants a chance to display their costumes and collect goodies as they visit the participating businesses in the village.

Sharon Doherty, owner of PJ’s Laundromat, is coordinating the event.

“My fellow Sandy Hook merchants and I look forward to seeing all the young visitors,” she said. The business district where the walk takes place is comprised of the area of Church Hill Road, Glen Road, Riverside Road, and Washington Avenue.

Mike Burton, president of SHOP, stated SHOP will also be hosting the second annual Boos and Booze, a costumed pub crawl event for adults, that evening.

“Tickets are limited to 75 and will be available online soon,” Mr Burton said. “We are still fine-tuning some details. Stay tuned for updates.”
