Korean War Veteran
Stanley P. Budlowski, 73, husband of Sandra (Coggins) Budlowski of High Bridge Road, Sandy Hook, died October 4 in Danbury Hospital.
He was born in Trumbull on May 29, 1932, a son of Edward and Rose (Adolecka) Budlowski. Mr Budlowski attended Trumbull schools and was a graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School in Bridgeport. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mr Budlowski is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Budlowski Robson and her husband, Robert, Jr, of Newtown; a brother, Chester Budlowski of Bridgeport; two sisters, Veronica Cantiello of Trumbull and Ann Gilroy of Aurora, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr Budlowski worked for 21 years in the maintenance department of the Handy and Harmon Company in Fairfield. He and his wife also owned and operated the Bridge Package Store in Shelton for five years. He then worked for Hubbell Plastics in Newtown for 20 years, retiring at age 68. Mr Budlowskiâs favorite hobbies were salt water clamming and deer hunting. He was an avid Red Sox and UConn basketball fan.
Mr Budlowski was a lifetime member of VFW Post 308 and a member of American Legion Post 202, both in Newtown, and the Catholic War Veterans of Derby.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, October 8, in St Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
