Burglary/Larceny

Possibly sometime between 1 and 3:30 pm on October 4, someone entered a Cobblers Mill Road house and stole unspecified items from within the building, police said. The house is located near that street’s turnaround circle.

Police said they are investigating and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 203-426-5841.

Accident

Police report a two-vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of Old Stream Road and Orchard Hill Road about 11:20 am on October 5.

The accident involved Paul Hubina, 53, of 3 Sunset Hill Road, who was driving a 1991 International flatbed truck, and motorist Charlene Maring, 53, of 40 Cedar Hill Road, who was driving a 2009 Kia Sportage SUV, police report.

There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Hubina for unsafe backing.

Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, William Bruno, 42, of 1 Borough Lane went to the police station on the afternoon of October 5 and was charged, police report. 

Police said they charged Bruno with second-degree failure to appear in court, misuse of a marker plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to display a marker plate, and failure to carry a driver’s license.

Police said that they had initially charged Bruno with those four motor vehicle violations following a traffic stop that they made in July.

After he posted $400 bail, police released Bruno for an October 19 court appearance.
