Family: My wife Cheryl; our son Connor, who is married and lives in Bridgeport with his wife Taylor; and our daughter Erin, who lives in Wolcott.

Pets: Two cats, Willow and Emma.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Just over 20 years. I’ve lived in six different states and 11 different towns, and Newtown is by far the favorite. My wife says the same thing. We really like Newtown.

Work: I now work at Sacred Heart, in their IT department, after 20 years at GE and Synchrony.

What did you want to be when you grew up? At one point I wanted to be a photographer. I even looked at different colleges for that, but changed course at some point.

What do you like to do in your free time? Bike, go hiking, anything outdoors.

Are you a member of any clubs? I’m a newly minted member of the DTC, and I helped get the community center passed, and then Kinga Walsh took over that torch and has done a great job.

Favorite author? Kurt Vonnegut.

Favorite book? Welcome to the Monkey House.

Music genre? Adult alternative.

Music performer? Not really. I kind of like it all.

What was the most recent concert you went to? We don’t do a lot of concerts, but the last one we went to was James Taylor and Jackson Browne at Bethel Woods.

What was the most recent movie you saw in the theater? Deadpool 3.

Favorite food? Thai food.

If you could spend the day with any person, living or deceased, who would you choose and why? Abraham Lincoln. He seems like a great story teller and funny person, but thoughtful too.

Pet peeves? People who are in the left lane, going slow.

Favorite color? Forest green.

What is your proudest achievement? Getting the community center passed and built in town. I was co-chair of the community center committee. We had fits and starts, and it was a big feat that we finished. It was good to see it get across the line.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We love going to Europe, and touring any European city. We also love going to Old Orchard Beach with family. As tired and as old as that is, we do enjoy going up there just for the family aspect of it.

What is your favorite thing about Newtown? I like all the food destinations. I think Newtown’s become quite the foodie place. We rarely go outside of town for restaurants.

What would you like to see covered, or covered further, in The Newtown Bee? You do a pretty good job of covering stuff. It’s really where I get all my info on the politics that are going on, other stuff that’s going on in town. I even like Way We Were — it’s fun to see what was going on years ago, when they had some of the same problems we still face today.

Do you have a personal credo? No matter what situation you’re facing, do the very best you can.
