All town offices will be closed on Monday, October 14, in honor of Columbus Day.

Newtown Senior Center, and C.H. Booth Library also will be closed.

Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street, will be open its regular hours (6 am-9 pm).

The transfer station on Ethan Allen Road will be closed. (The transfer station is regularly closed to the public on Mondays. It will not be open on Columbus Day for commercial service.)

The United States Postal Service will not deliver mail on Monday.

The schedule for Edmond Town Hall Theatre will not be affected. Screenings of this week’s feature, Walt Disney’s The Lion King, will be offered at 7 pm.

The office of The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, and the printing plant of The Bee Publishing Company on Commerce Road will be open.
