To the Editor:

The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library thank our generous Newtown neighbors for making Fall Book Donation Day such a great success. It may even have been our biggest donation day ever!

We are grateful to all those who contributed to that success: the library for offering us the perfect venue, the donors for their generosity, and our volunteers for their boundless energy and skill.

The newest and nicest books, jigsaw puzzles and games, CDs, DVDs, and giftable items we received will be available for purchase in the Friends’ year-round Little Book Store, at our additional pop-up store opposite the library main circulation desk, or in our upcoming Holiday Boutique… all on the second floor of the library. Other items will be in next year’s big annual summer book sale tentatively scheduled for July 8-12 at the Reed Intermediate School.

Donations of your new and gently used items can now be brought into the library all year long during library hours and placed in the Friends’ Donation Room opposite the elevator on the first floor of the library.
