Adele Leventhal

Adele Leventhal, age 90, of Trumbull, passed away on Thursday, October 14, at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs Leventhal was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Meyer and Sadie Platzek, and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, with a degree in pharmacy.

Adele was everything to her family. Family was very important to her. She was kind, caring, smart, fun-loving, beautiful, and loved. She always knew the right things to do and say. She loved family vacations, especially to Cape Cod, Mass.; San Diego, Calif.; St Louis, Mo.; and Orlando, Fla. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, because it brought family together.

Adele was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard Leventhal, in 2018, and is survived by her devoted daughters, Cheryl Elliot, Debbie May Leventhal, Lauren Miller and her husband Arthur, Diane Shank and her husband Gary, and by her adored grandchildren, Shana and Jessica Elliot, Sam and Will Miller, Emily, Alyssa, and Greg Shank, and Alana Leventhal.

Funeral services took place on Monday, October 18, at 2 pm, at The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield. Interment took place at B’nai Torah Cemetery on Reid Street in Fairfield.
