Anthony J. Lopreato, 92, of Sandy Hook, died Saturday, October 24, at New Milford Hospital. Mr Lopreato was the husband of Dorothy (Perrone) Lopreato.

Mr and Mrs Lopreato would have been married 64 years on October 27. Anthony was born on August 2, 1928, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., a son of the late Antonio and Luigia (Sganga) Lopreato. Before retirement, Anthony was employed as a piping designer in the chemical industry. A resident of Sandy Hook since 2002, he was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Anthony, and his wife, Ruth, of Damariscotta, Maine; a brother, Louis Lopreato, and his wife, Grace, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church on Wednesday, October 28, at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, from 2 to 4 pm.
