An Example Of True School Community
An Example OfÂ
True School Community
(The following open letter to William Manfredonia, principal of Newtown High School, has been received for publication)
Dear Mr Manfredonia:
Thank you for all the guidance you and your staff provided the students and families of Newtown High School during Greg Chionâs illness and untimely death. Your support of one another is a great example of what a true school community is all about, and you are all to be applauded for your efforts.
Particular thanks to all the staff, faculty, and students who brought special consolation to Gregâs family by attending his wake and funeral service as well as all the messages of love and care sent to them through your prayer, âThe Wall,â and kind words. Both the chorus and band paid great tributes to Greg by their beautiful participation in the Mass for him. The presence of the swim team members made a profound impression. It was a tribute well deserved and a prayer well made for an incredible young man.
May God continue to guide your efforts and bless you in all your endeavors.
Sincerely,
Rev Robert Weiss, Pastor
