The NUMC Craft Fair

Figurines, knit hats, baked goods and crafts filled Reed Intermediate School during Newtown United Methodist Church’s 17th annual Fall Arts and Crafts Fair on October 20. Joining the array of booths displaying handmade goods was a new addition this year: Danbury Rotary Club, sponsored by the William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, managed an Amber Alert booth.

As guests walked past displays of potters, folk art, and jewelry, aromas of hamburgers, grilled cheese, and pastries filled the school cafeteria. Looking across the crowded room, event co-chairs Bob Virgalla and Deb Stakel were pleased. “It’s wonderful, people are happy with what we have,” Ms Stakel said.

Mr Virgalla said: “We try to provide a selection of quality crafters, we have lunch, and a great turn-out.” Also chairing the event was Ann Siladi.
