To the Editor:

As a veteran of the Armed Forces, a senior, and a former chair of Newtown's Commission on Aging, I'll be casting my vote for Eva Zimmerman to represent the 106th District in the Connecticut State Assembly. Newtown needs an advocate and fighter for us in Hartford - someone who will ease our local property tax burden, vote on important legislation for the benefit of veterans such as making military retirement pay 100 percent tax-exempt, and obtain state funding to help pay for the construction of a much-needed new senior center in Newtown.
