Loved Gardening And Antiques

Eleanor Fetchick, 79, of Newtown, previously of Norwalk and Yonkers, N.Y., died November 2, in her home, after a long struggle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, of 58 years, four children, seven grandchildren, her three sisters, two brothers,and one great-grandchild.

Mrs Fetchick loved gardening, had a passion for antiques, and passed those same passions on to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid UConn Huskies Fan and supported her husband’s lifelong love of golf.

Mrs Fetchick will be remembered with a private family service to be held in her birthplace of Yonkers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Road, Unit D4, Milford CT 06460.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is assisting the family.
