Tennis Comes To New Sports Academy

Newtown Parks and Recreation is offering an indoor tennis program through Fairfield County Tennis at the new Newtown Youth Sports Academy, an indoor facility with regulation tennis courts. Fairfield County Tennis will kick off the first session of tennis clinics beginning November 17.

The 10-week sessions are offered for Pee Wees (ages 3-5), and Juniors (ages 8-10 & 11-13) for Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Low Intermediate and Tournament Training for the junior and high school players seeking more training for competitive play. Adult sessions are offered for Beginner/Advanced Beginner, Low Intermediate/I ntermediate, and USTA Levels 2.5 through 4.0 for both men and women. Day and evening sessions are available. Private and semi-private lessons available upon request. The next session begins February 23.Andy Jorgenson, former Tennis Club of Trumbull Pro, will once again join the teaching staff.
