The Society of the Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) is presenting two exhibitions at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, before the end of the year.

The first, “Unmasked,” is being presented through December 31 in the library’s meeting room.

The second show, “December Offerings,” will run December 1-31. That collection will be in the Entry Hallway, adjacent to the meeting room. Both shows will be open during regular library hours.

For 52 years, SCAN has supported local artists and promoted the visual arts. For more than half a century SCAN members have been sharing their knowledge of a variety of media including watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, and sculpture.

“Ready for a Salad?” is an oil on canvas by Edward Arribas, a SCAN member with art currently on view at C.H. Booth Library.
