The Norbert E. Mitchell Co, Inc, is excited to announce that their new deli, convenience store, and gas station is now open in Hawleyville.

State-of-the-art coffee machines provide a guaranteed fresh cup of coffee using premium beans that are ground on-demand for every cup. Deli options include a robust selection of hot and cold specialty sandwiches made with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses.

The large selection of convenience store items includes healthy eating options, frozen foods, and a large array of refrigerated beverages. This location also boasts an outdoor seating area, Sunoco gasoline, and diesel fuel.

“We are really excited about our new Hawleyville store, and eager to share it with our neighbors in Newtown and the surrounding towns,” stated Matthew Mitchell.

“This location was a well-known deli for many years, and was a general store and gas station many decades before that,” he said. “Our family wanted to provide the Hawleyville area with a great deli and coffee house, but we also wanted to bring the convenience of being able to fill up their cars and trucks with gasoline or diesel.”

Mitchell said to be consistent with the character of the Hawleyville district, the store was designed to resemble the Hawleyville Train Station, which once stood near this location.

“We hope this will serve as a place that the community can meet to enjoy good food and good company for many years to come,” Mitchell said.

Visitors can also access OTC medicines, limited auto supplies, and reading materials, including copies of each week’s edition of The Newtown Bee delivered to the newsstand every Thursday afternoon.

Visit their store at 26 Hawleyville Road, just north of Exit 9 from Interstate 84 and immediately adjacent to the Hawleyville Fire headquarters.
