The Newtown Bee

The Editor of The Newtown Bee is

the public face of the nearly 150 year-old weekly community

newspaper, interacting with the public and local organizations as

demanded, and responsible for the weekly editorial. Familiarity with

Newtown and The Newtown Bee is desired.

This position requires

overseeing the editorial staff, managing the weekly workload,

editing bylined and submitted articles, ensuring that all deadlines

are met for each publication and moderating of online comments, and

determining website and social media content.

Strong grammar, writing skills

and a demonstrated ability for editorial writing is demanded.

Organizational and managerial skills a must, social media and

journalism experience is a must.
