Sunny Brook Farm Pace Raises Money For Connecticut National Guard

Sunny Brook Farm held its Benefit Hunter Pace on October 24. The donations went to the Connecticut National Guard Foundation’s Family Readiness grant program which gives grants to all branches of Connecticut service members and their families. This year, Sunny Brook raised $600 and a wonderful time was had by all thanks to beautiful weather, manicured trails, great company, good food, and the land owners and volunteers.

Winners of the costume class held at Sunny Brook Farm’s Halloween Hymkhana on October 30 were Laura and  Sarah Hornby, of Newtown, and Sunny Brook’s horse, Mystery. Of the many wonderful costumes three judges picked the Hornby sisters and Mystery for best overall costume judged on creativity, originality, and effort. Other fun classes included Mice-In-Spoon, Scary Barrel Race, and Sit-A-Bat. Children, teens, and adults a like had great fun with this game show on horse back with a Halloween twist.
