To the Editor:

Yes, it's sad that our George Benson is retiring.

He's been a wonderful asset to the town and more specifically to Taunton Lake where his extensive study over decades has provided us with a healthy lake free of chemicals and free of Eurasian watermilfoil thanks to his knowledge about triploid grass carp. It took several permissions from the state, from the residents, from a local club, and church in order that the fish be introduced rather than chemicals.
