In advance of the second anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, musicians, celebrities and influential organizations are donating special items and experiences to benefit Sandy Hook Promise, in partnership with the luxury charity auction website CharityBuzz. The auction opened on  November 25, and will continue to accept bids through Thursday, December 18.

Among the 16 items included in the auction are the first five pages of your life story, written by the award-winning writer/director Adam Mckay; the chance to meet Carson Daly with two tickets to a live show of The Voice Season 8 in Los Angeles; a visit to New York Mets batting practice and a behind-the-scenes tour of Citi Field; a round of golf with Joe LaCava, Tiger Woods’ caddy, at Newtown Country Club; the opportunity to have Sarah Silverman record your outgoing message on your phone; a Fender Telecaster guitar signed by Sheryl Crow; and two tickets and cocktails to Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! hosted by Andy Cohen in New York City.

All auction items are found at https://www.charitybuzz.com/support/2230

Sandy Hook Promise is a community organization founded in Newtown in the days following 12/14. Money raised through the auction will go to support the programs and services Sandy Hook Promise offers in the arenas of mental health and wellness, social development, community connectedness, bystander behavior, and firearm safety and security.

Charitybuzz raises funds for nonprofits around the globe through online auctions with recognizable celebrities and brands.

Sandy Hook Promise will premiere a new documentary at The Helen Mills Theater in New York City tonight. The documentary is part of a comprehensive educational effort designed to help parents protect children from becoming future victims of gun violence. The organization is also introducing new tools and programs to help parents and communities protect children from gun violence, and focused on preventative steps to help stop individuals from hurting themselves or others with a firearm.
Among the items being offered in an online auction to benefit Sandy Hook Promise is lunch for 12 and a private screening of Night at The Museum: Secrets of the Tomb at the 20th Century Fox Studio in Century City, Calif.; the first five pages of your life story, written by the award-winning writer and director Adam McKay; and a round of golf at Newtown Country Club with Joe LaCava, Tiger Woods’s caddy.
