TTS Systems 10, Clearhart Construction 3 – Steady pitching and key hits propelled TTS Systems to their first win of the season. Greg Larnerd and Alex Magoulas each pitched two scoreless innings, and Larnerd also led the offense with three hits. Andy Kirner and Tim Larsen both had two-run singles with the bases loaded and Tyler Adams made a nice catch in centerfield. For Clearhart, Bob Lapple and P.J. Cochrane pitched scoreless ball and Michael Maher led the offense with two hits.

TTS Systems 11, Classic Designs of New England – Continued good pitching and clutch hitting again were key in turning back Classic Designs. On offense, Greg Larnerd was 3-for-3, Francis Oggeri had two hits and 3 RBI, and Adam Nanavaty had a two-run single. On the mound, Tim Larsen and Thaddeus Adams performed well. For the Designers, Ryan Clark and Jacob Burg had big hits, while Keith Hogenauer pitched well. Clark also played well defensively behind the plate.

TTS Systems 10, Bethel (#2) 6 – TTS Systems scored seven times in the sixth inning to rally back for the win. The big blow was Thaddeus Adams’ two-run bases-loaded single. Other key hits were by Ken Picerno and James Post. Greg Rodden and Greg Larnerd both pitched scoreless ball, and Post and Francis Oggeri anchored the defense.

TTS Systems 11, Walker Industrial 1 – Francis Oggeri was 4-for-4, Adam Nanavaty had three hits and two RBI, and Andy Kirner and Greg Larnerd had two RBI apiece to lead TTS Systems. Greg Rodden was sharp on the mound with two scoreless innings and also behind the plate, recording the final out by cutting down a would-be base stealer. For Walker, Alan Hubbard had a hit and an RBI and John Nelson pitched well.

Classic Designs of New England 17, Ridgefield (#4) 1 – Ryan Boucher, Nick Urson and Ryan Clark all doubled and scored three runs apiece to lead Classic Designs. David Rodriguez was 2-for-2. Ryan Boucher, Rodriguez and Urso pitched well while Daniel Cassidy and Jacob Burg sparked the defense.

Classic Designs of New England 15, Brookfield (#2) 3 – David Rodriguez was 3-for-3, Nick Urso was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored, and Ryan Clark was 2-for-2 with three runs scored to lead Classic Designs. Brendan Buzaid and Zachary Seamen were strong in the field.

American League

Base Technologies 2, Brautigam Land Surveyors 1 – Dan Spencer singled in the winning run in the top of the seventh to lead Base Technologies. Drew Woods hit the ball well and made a great catch in centerfield to spark the defense. Kurt Nacewicz, Pete Wlasuk and Chris Marks combined on a two hitter. For Brautigam, Charlie LoBosco pitched four shutout innings, striking out 12 batters. At the plate, Paul Murphy doubled and Tommy Merrifield hit the ball well.

National League

 

Gruce Tile 15, Church Hill Physical Therapy 11 – Nathan Crevier, Connor McNamara and Nick Wolf all had key hits to spark Gruce Tile. Joe Fedak allowed just one run in his stint on the mound. For Church Hill, Casey Tenney, Jeff DiNicola and Gary Poe had two hits apiece. Kyle O’Connor belted a home run.

Newtown Police Union 8, My Place Pizza 2 – Jeff Spencer, Keith McGrath, and Kevin O’Connell combined for 14 strikeouts while allowing only five hits in leading the Police to the win. Tucker Schmidt and Taylor Carnes made spectacular plays on line drives to end scoring threats. Nick Tarantino had three RBIs on two singles while Tory Deakin had a run-scoring single and Tucker Schmidt had a two-run single. Nick Neves scored once on two walks. For My Place, Dan Tibolla, Ryan Cahalane, and Robbie Blanc combined for 10 strikeouts. Chris Winters and Matt Bobkowski both had doubles, while Nick Nazer had a RBI single.

 

AAA

 

Screaming Eagles 14, Tendler Realtors 13 – Chris Jennings and Garrett Quinn had two hits and two runs scored each to lead the Screaming Eagles. Brandon Weiner made a game saving play at third while Scott Boisvert also played well defensively. John Fracker sparked Tendler with three hits, including a double and a triple, and three runs scored. Colby Summerlin added two hits and two runs. Chris Giglio pitched very well for Tendler while Mike Ruddy had an excellent game at catcher.

Screaming Eagles 12, Robert S. Ponsky DDS 7 – Sean Maher had four hits, including a home run, and pitched three strong innings to lead the Eagles. RJ Roman also had four hits while Shea Boyle added two hits including a triple. Michael Zaccaro had a strong game behind the plate while John Wlasuk played well defensively. Ponsky’s last inning rally, led by Mike Herring’s 2-run triple, fell short. Kyle Packer and Derek Krewson each had two hits. Robert Carroll had a strong pitching performance while Cody Williams and Mike Herring were solid behind the plate.

TR Paul 9, Robert Ponsky DDS 2 – Mitch Udiskey, Richard Andreotta, Brian Reed and Daniel Lynch all pitched well to lead TR Paul to the win. Patrick Harris drove in the winning run. For Ponsky, Cody Williams, Robert Carroll and Derek Krewson combined for 4 scoreless innings. Christian Gregoire and Kyle Packer played solid defense while Derek Krewson and Brandon Bowen powered the offense.

TR Paul 15, Bob Tendler Realtors 8 – Max Nacewicz and Matt Datin provided key hits and Hutch Bermingham scored three runs for TR Paul. Patrick Fay and Daniel Lynch contributed three shutout innings. For Tendler, John Fracker and Chris Giglio pitched well and Colby Summerlin led the offensive attack.

AA

 

Enterprise Electric 6, Troy Security 4 – Riley Wurtz, Victor Willson and Auston Bonadio combined for six strong innings on the mound. Jordan Buers was the defensive star while Jack Kneisel was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a run scored and three stolen bases to lead Enterprise.

Union Savings 3, Taunton Press 2 – Ryan Powers was 3-for-3 with three RBI to lead Union Savings to the win. Danny Aurelia pitched two scoreless innings and aided his cause by collecting two hits.

Bob Tendler Real Estate 9, Lindin Consulting 8 – Michael Lengel homered and Brandon Gonzalez’ two-run singled in the last inning lifted Tendler to the win. Curtis Droniak was strong behind the plate and on the mound. For Lindin, William Arndt pitched well while Greg Campbell and Eric Terhaar collected some key hits. Andrew Cebry sparked the defense.

Blinds Guys 12, Hickey Septic 5 – Donny Morrissey had two hits and two RBI to spark the Blinds Guys in the win. Chris Haylon had a pair of hits and scored three runs while Mathew Sharpe added another base hit. For Hickey, Sean Burson was 2-for-2, Travis LeBlanc had two RBI, and Scott Runkle hit the ball well.

Dental Associates 7, My Place Pizza 5 – Trey Trudell, Connor Blanc and Christopher Tenney collected two hits apiece to lead Dental Associates. Oliver Powers, Brandon Ziman, Robbie Daigle and Kyle Watts also had hits.

 

Minors

Acorn Electric 10, Curtis & Crandon 6 – Stephen Price (3-for-3), Craig Fabian (2-for-2) and Brendan Callery (2-for-2) led the Acorn offense in a rain-shortened contest against C&C. Reid Schmidt picked up the win, striking out two, while Gavin Scallon provided some strong defensive play. Austin Ryder and Michael Allwein powered the offense for C&C and Matthew Ruefenacht turned in an unassisted double play. Michael Lord pitched a strong first inning as well.

Mona Lisa 8, Dr Henry Gellert 5 – Patrick Milano and Sean Elliott hit the ball hard and Gary Braun pitched well to lead Mona Lisa to the win. For Gellert, Jonathan Hull, Brandon Williams and David Cartisano had fine games.
