200 People, 110 Dogs

To the Editor:

Strut Your Mutt Dog Walk was a huge success! More than 200 people and 110 dogs came out to show their support and helped to raise more than $2,100 for the proposed dog park.

Special thanks to all Strut Your Mutt walkers as well as local donors who share in our commitment to build a dog park: Carminuccio’s, Swanky Franks, Big Y of Bethel, Your Healthy Pet, Subway of Newtown, Invisible Fence, Pet Tech First Aid, DIGuntilyoufindit.com, author Ted Kerasote, Widow Brown’s Café, Newtown Ice Cream Shop, Eureka Nail Spa, and the remarkable Officer Andy Stinson and K-9 partner Baro thrilled us all. Thanks also to the Fairfield Hills Authority for your cooperation in allowing our event to take place on your lovely campus.

Heartfelt thanks to Girl Scout Troop 51170 for your donation of homemade dog treats, wonderful artwork, and generosity of the prize bags; to Troop 50078 senior scouts for picking up the power tools (you made us proud); to Troop 50651 for the delicious people treats and help at the event.

Lastly, thanks to Canine Behavioral Services and Angelfishes Therapy for sending morale over the top!  If you missed the event, check out our fun photo slideshow at www.NewtownParkandBark.org.

 Most sincerely,  RoseAnn Reggiano
