Carol Williams, 65, of Newtown, died October 1 at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, Fla. She was born May 6, 1951, in Burlington, Vt., the daughter of Carolita (Allen) of Florida and the late Kenneth Pratt.

Her two adoring children, Lloyd Williams and wife, Erica, of Montgomery Village, Md., and Dawn Williams of Newtown; her loving granddaughter Ashley Williams; brothers John Pratt of Newtown, Darryel Pratt and wife, Tracey, of Brookfield, and Brian Pratt of Dunedin, Fla,. survive her. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who thought the world of their Aunt Sukie.

Ms Williams graduated from St Vincent's School of Nursing in Bridgeport, and worked as a nurse for more than 40 years, retiring in 2014. She always believed that nursing was her calling, and dedicated her life to caring for and healing others. It was her honor to touch the lives and hearts of those in need. Her love and kindness extended far beyond her job.

She enjoyed crocheting, canning, making gifts, and cooking for others. Her greatest joy was meeting her granddaughter Ashley, and spending time with her family and beloved pets. Her family said, "We are truly blessed to have known her and to have loved her."

A private service will be held at a later date.
